Abstract

SISTO, Fermino Fernandes  and  FERNANDES, Débora Cecílio. Linguistics difficulties in writing down learning and aggressiveness. Psicol. esc. educ. [online]. 2004, vol.8, n.1, pp. 75-84. ISSN 1413-8557.

The current research studied the relationship between linguistics difficulties in writing down and aggressiveness in eight to ten years old students. 834 students from both public and private schools took part in the research. The Aggressive Scale for Children and Teenager was applied, which yields measures of general aggressiveness and in the school and family situation, and ADAPE, a dictation composed by words including linguistics difficulties. The linguistic difficulties and school aggressiveness measures indicated close similarity in the second and third-grade outcomes for they yielded positive and significant correlations, which is, as the writing errors increased the school aggressiveness score also increased. However, a clear difference between female and male fourth grade students was noticed. While girls showed positive and some high correlations, boys registered negative correlations, which indicates that as the errors increased the school aggressiveness decreased.
