Abstract

SOUZA, Vera Maria Trevisan de  and  PLACCO, Vera Maria Nigro de Souza. Meanings of interaction in school and values formation. Psicol. educ. [online]. 2005, n.21, pp. 53-77. ISSN 1414-6975.

This article examines the respect in school in its moral qualification - self-respect. It is part of a research in which the investigation was made among its acting parts: children, teachers and coordinator, the values present in school. With a Psychology social-historical theoretical focus, we have applied articulations with assumptions by authors who have studied morality, such as Piaget and Yves de La Taille. It has been found in the investigation that both interactions favouring the construction and maintainance of moral values and the non-favouring interaction of such values are present in the school. Such interactions occur concomitantly in all observed relationships, and more frequently in the ones which do not favour the construction of moral values

Keywords : values and education; interactions and school; moral development.
