Abstract

MAHONEY, Abigail Alvarenga; ALMEIDA, Laurinda Ramalho de  and  ALMEIDA, Sandro Henrique Vieira de. Works by Vigotski Groups and Wallon: epistemological, methological and developmental similarities and differences. Psicol. educ. [online]. 2007, n.24, pp. 35-50. ISSN 1414-6975.

The objective of this article is to compare the epistemological, methodological and developmental dimensions in the production of Vigotsky, his group and Wallon. Establishes similarities and differences in their propositions. The main points are: aspects of the construction of their theories, based in the epistemology of the historical and dialectical materialism: they both consider the individual as an active being ontological social and that his psychical life has its origin in the whole of social relationships. Both theories were elaborated through experimentation and observation, and their propositions show the movement of contradictions and crisis. For both, education has a fundamental role because it is by appropriations of knowledge developed by humanity that the psychical life is constructed
