The aim of this article is discuss how the historical-cultural psychological approach understands the terms. Subjectivity is understood as the process in which something become constitutive and belonged to individual in a singular form. It is the basic process that allows building the psyche. Individuality refers to an individual biological inheritance, one of the bases of the personality's development. Personality is the entire psychological system that enable to individual formation. Identity is comprehended as individual metamorphosis, and it was a Brazilian elaboration in attempt to replace the term personality, because this term would be contaminated by reactionary practices and theories produced inside psychological science.
