Abstract

The Analysis of Behavior, having the model of equivalence of stimuli as support, has been investigating the installation and enlargement of reading repertoire. The present study aimed to implement a teaching proposal of reading words, to eight students of third grade from elementary school, with difficulty in reading, diagnosed in stage of previous evaluation of repertoire. They were taught, through conditional discrimination, the relations A-B, A-C, C-E and A-E (A- dictated word, B-illustration, C- printed word, E - letters that form the word). Tests of emergency of relations B-C, C-B and C-D (expressive reading) were applied and reading generalization was evaluated, including words and sentences. The results indicated Besides the enlargement of the participants' repertoire, including reading generalization of sentences.
