Abstract

The paper aims to address the debate about the professional identity as well as describe approximations with the teacher's identity in its insertion in the productive world through school education. As an assumption, the challenge of a teacher to know who the subject is and who the professional is, what requires the verification of his/her history and understand what other sources of acknowledgement are there to establish and recognize themselves in their professional identity. The analysis relates the notion of identity and professionalism to the macrostructure and its repercussions in teacher's professionalization. The text also sought to identify the meaning of this collective construction, professional models that feed the actions and the teacher's professional identity in different socio-professional contexts.
