Abstract

MAROLA, Caroline Andreia Garrido; SANCHES, Carolina Silva Munhoz  and  CARDOSO, Lucila Moraes. Formation of concept in adolescence sexualityand their influence. Psicol. educ. [online]. 2011, n.33, pp. 95-118. ISSN 1414-6975.

The production and dissemination of information on sexuality for adolescents are poor and contribute to spread disinformation. It is necessary to ascertain how adolescents deal with the formation of concepts about sexuality, comparing the degree of information between groups of teenagers from formal education, non formal and informal learning and know some influences on the formation of these concepts. To this end, 27 adolescents, between 13 and 19 years, answered a questionnaire about sexuality. It was observed that more than half of young people did not demonstrate adequate knowledge of the topic, there is a significant difference of information between groups. While most teenagers said they had contact with the subject in the school and family, they recognize their friends as their main source of influence. These results highlight the need to improve the spaces intended for training.
