Abstract

Vygotski, Wallon and Piaget approaches: different points of view towards the classroom. Psicol. educ. [online]. 2012, n.34, pp. 63-83. ISSN 1414-6975.

After filming classroom activities of a 5th grade teacher working at an elementary public school located in the city of Sao Paulo (Brazil), the teacher was asked to analyze some episodes selected and organized by editing the footage. From what she said, it is discussed how the scene depicted could be understood according to Vygotskian, Wallonian and Piagetian perspectives, demonstrating that, despite their different theoretical approaches, they can support a pedagogical practice more attentive to pupils' diversity, providing them greater autonomy and more sophisticated and precise thinking skills.

Keywords : Piaget; Vygotski; Wallon; development theories; teacher's activity.
