Abstract

Discipline résumés, contents and bibliography of the academic disciplines were analyzed to investigate the manner the disciplinary field of Educational Psychology was characterized within the Pedagogy Course of the State University of Maringá, Maringá PR Brazil. Contents in Psychology of Education which were given priority and the main changes undertaken were also investigated. Time range was restricted between 1973 and 2006, or rather, the former being the year of the course establishment and the latter the year in which the last curricular restructuring occurred. Results show that new themes and authors were included in the programs throughout 33 years to fulfill the numberless needs constantly presenting themselves which, to a certain point, made difficult an identification outline of the disciplinary field of Educational Psychology.
