Abstract

SIVERES, Luiz. The pollination and politicization of knowledge. Psicol. educ. [online]. 2013, n.37, pp. 51-61. ISSN 1414-6975.

The knowledge is an essential attribute of the human condition and a fundamental aspect of the University, which is regarded nowadays as an appropriate institution for developing the many branches of science. Grouping all the contemporary trends, especially regarding human sciences, the transdisciplinary concept and practice has become an important approach. In this context, different aspects could be introduced, but the option for knowledge pollination and politicization has become a challenge for educational segments. The act of pollinating is understood by word and the act of politicizing, on the other hand, is understood by experience. Inasmuch as a purposeful energy between these two dynamics is established, knowledge may be an essential element of human condition and social dimension, enhancing the subjective intention and objective capability. Therefore, they are not opposed but complementary categories; they are not disparate principles, but integrated; procedures are not opposites, but epistemological connections. These dialogic energies, which are present in the university environment, can contribute for a significant and sustainable knowledge.

Keywords : knowledge; pollination; politicization; university; education.
