Abstract

This article has the purpose to investigate the history of School Psychology in São Paulo in the 1980s, to discuss the current situation in which psychologists, along with other categories, struggling to insert themselves in public education through law projects. The text is part of a research bibliographical and documental. The discussion focuses on the results of research of 69 publications of the Journal of the CRP-06 (1981-1990), focusing on the ramifications of the law project 519/81, discussions of multidisciplinary teams and an interview of Paulo Freire who presents the conception current-traditional clinical psychology and justifies the remove educational psychologists. Establishes a critical analysis of this process, seeking new paths.
