Abstract

TEIXEIRA, Cristiane de Sousa Moura  and  CARVALHO, Maria Vilani Cosme de. The arqueology of the social meanings given to the pedagogical coordinator's work: a social-historical production. Psicol. educ. [online]. 2015, n.41, pp. 95-107. ISSN 1414-6975.  http://dx.doi.org/10.5935/2175-3520.20150017.

Currently the pedagogical coordination is a work that has as specificity the articulation of the processes of continuous training of teachers in the school setting. We have understood that this is a historical-social movement of establishment of the profession and how it is socially defined. Before such reality, the objective of this article is to discuss the genesis and the development of this meaning produced socially. To understand this movement it is necessary went back to History to know how this professional went from a supervisor to a pedagogical coordinator. Three moments of the historical-social movement of this profession were identified: the action of ensuring the youngest people to the coordination of the guidelines and rules determined by the administrative body of the school.; the coordination of the guidelines and rules determined by the central body to the supervisory of the teacher's work; and, finally, the supervisory of the teacher's work to the articulation of the processes of continuous training at school. The ideas developed here lead us to understand that the current meaning for this profession has multiple determinations as results which we underscore: the historical-social and cultural where the profession is arisen and developed; the demands inherent to the context of schooling; the educational reforms; the objective and subjective conditions where the pedagogical coordinator's work is held.

Keywords : pedagogical coordination; continuing training; meaning and sense.
