This text analyzes the exit of the subject from the hospital environment without medical authorization. It also shows a vision about Ethics, understood as a dialectic process between society customs and the statement of the subject freedom. Next, the text approaches the Bioethics dealing with the etymology of the word Autonomy and its permanent relationship with the Heteronomy, displaying also the main criticism of the XIX and XX centuries about this concept. The text also deals with ways to control the influence of the health professionals over the clients and, finally, emphasizes important aspects about the posture of the professional psychologist regarding the initial matter.
