The insertion of disabled people in the labor market is an early organizational process. This research analyzed the differences among the ways of realizing the disability and the work possibilities of people from the point of view of the managers (age: average 43 years old; 73% male; 91% had finished high school) who worked with these people 3,6 years average, in 18 Brazilian companies (83% = > 1.000 employees; 39% = 20-100 disabled), and from the point of view of 285 MBA (Master in Business Administration) students from three different Brazilian States. It was used the Conceptions of Disability Inventory, with the Likert Scale, in order to obtain the data. There was not significant difference between the analyzed groups related to the conceptions of disability. However, it was verified that the longer the time people worked with the disabled, the better the perception of the performance of these people’s work, what indicated that the contact with disabled people at work changes the perception about them and improves their possibilities of insertion.
