The purpose of this text is to invite the reader to visit, once again, the book Ópera dos mortos (Autran Dourado) where the grains of silence and death can be linked to main concepts of psychoanalytical work. In his beautiful narrative, Autran Dourado introduces us to characters who live under the domain of driving forces which seem to drag them in the direction of destruction. No movement or action seems to be undertaken in order to stop this devastating silence.
