Abstract

RUDGE, Ana Maria. Which acts are these?: Mourning and acting out. Psyche (Sao Paulo) [online]. 2008, vol.12, n.22, pp. 67-78. ISSN 1415-1138.

Three clinical fragments are presented focusing in certain acts which occurred as responses to the anxiety caused by traumatic losses. They are acts that suggest certain analogies with mania, due to their acting, and the feeling of self sufficiency and power that characterize it, as well as evasion of painful feelings of abandonment. However, its more structural trait does not reside in this similarity, not always present, but in its quality of dramatized message, which characterizes these acts as examples of acting out.

Keywords : Mournig; Acting out; Dramatizing; Mania; Message; Clinic.
