Abstract

LUSTOZA, Rosane Zétola. A cause that includes a subject: the originality of the cause in psychoanalysis. Psyche (Sao Paulo) [online]. 2008, vol.12, n.23, pp. 0-0. ISSN 1415-1138.

Examining in what sense the psychoanalysis deviated from the famous formulations of modern philosophy about the problem of causality, the Lacanian redefinition of this concept based on its use in analytical experience seems justified. Using the concepts of object a, the cause of desire and the significant as material cause, it is pointed psychoanalysis contributions to the causal thinking, maintaining the ethical status of the subject.
