This work has as proposal to present the Preparatory Course for Suppletive of the Fundamental Teaching implanted at the school “Trilha” - Unit of Integration of the Development - (that assists young special). It still has for objective to expose the cognitive capacity of the special student front to the challenges of the course, as the one of rendering the tests at the Instituto Universal Brasileiro. Inside of a psychopedagogical glance and the election of an approach in the historical-cultural perspective of the education, we will point the importance of the mediation and of the area of proximal development in the established learning relationships with those young ones.
