BROSTOLIN, Marta Regina  e  CRUZ, Simone Figueiredo. Estilos de aprendizagem e de ensinagem na escola indígena Terena. Constr. psicopedag. [online]. 2009, vol.17, n.14, pp. 24-43. ISSN 1415-6954.

This work presents results from the research project “the different senses of learning and teaching in the indian cultural context” linked to NEPPI (Nucleus of Studies and Researches of Indian Populations) and in the project “The Terena child: the dialog between the indian education and the school education in Buriti village” inscribed on line 3, Cultural Diversity and Indian Education, in the Educational Master Course, of Universidade Católica Dom Bosco. Both, through diferent obliquities, investigate several senses of learning and teaching on indian cultural context. The indian group in question belongs to Terena ethnic group, the second biggest indian population of Mato Grosso do Sul, of the Buriti village, one of the 9 villages that forms the Buriti Indian Land placed in the city of Dois Irmão do Buriti. The research is based on the cultural studies, in a perspective of interculturality, considering the anthropologic, psichopedagogical, historical territories and sustentability of this peoples aspects. It approaches the relation between learner and teacher and the school “modus operandi”, what means, its gender of teach and teacher style of teaching. In this relation, the teacher as individual who teaches involved or not with the transmition, will influence in the construction of learning student style when transmitting its own style of dealing with knowledge. The field research concretes through trips to Buriti village and that forms fundamental moments to know the studies’ object. Oral history metodology contribution related by teachers allows us to understand the dinamic relation between teacher and learner. However, the proposal of a differentiated indian school still presents itself as a challenge to be beaten by the indian comunities in general.
