Abstract

DIETSCHI, Laiz T.. Educational symptom: a winnicott-like aproach. Constr. psicopedag. [online]. 2011, vol.19, n.19, pp. 55-65. ISSN 1415-6954.

The obstacles a psychoeducator has to go through while assisting children with difficulties in their relationship with the school learning were the starting point for the preparation of a master degree paperwork in Clinical Psychology in which this article is based on. Thus, the aim of this paper is to describe in general terms some aspects of conducting a clinical case in psychopedagogy from which it was possible to establish some important parameters in addressing the learning symptom disability, widely understood as a sign that something is not going right with the child, reflecting a poor school performance. Concerning this clinical case, the school complains included all school subjects, focused in aspects of reading, writing and mathematics. The methodology used in this study was based on the clinical method, focusing on the study case through which an understanding of a lived experience in meeting a child, seen as chaotic, derived from the public educational system was taken into consideration. Throughout the assisting process, reflections based on Donald Woods Winnicott thoughts were made, from the movement of the child's growing organization and in contrast to the initial chaotic picture.
