The contemporary society crosses a lot of difficulties and goes through a process of modification of values and paradigms, and its worst manifest shows itself in the widespread and trivialization of the violence. The school feels the consequences of this phenomenon, that brings disastrous effects for the people involved, as well as for whole the educational process. In order to find ways of understanding and confrontation forms of the violence in schools, this article presents reflections based in the work of D. W. Winnicott. The author's choice was not random, because he possesses an unique and singular conception about the aggressiveness and anti-social tendency. Such a reading, it is concluded, can help with a less pathological glance on these phenomena, as well as with a confrontation based on reliable human relations and the proposal of creation of a sufficiently good school atmosphere, in other words, an atmosphere of respect and appreciation of the students' needs and characteristics, communication, creativity and emotional expressiveness spaces, based in the effective care to all involved.
