The present article addresses the paradigms that underpin the use of technology and its gadgets in education. Thereafter treats the software as educational apparatus, making the analysis of software astronomy type simulation 3D of the universe, open-source, created by Chis Laurel, called Celestia, considering that the learning context can be created with its holding. Finally we will present the conclusions of this study. The study is based in authors such as Piaget (1982), which maintains the Constructivist Epistemological Theory, L. S. Vygotsky (1991) who defends the social-constructivism and Papert's constructionism (1994) as well as the studies of Fino (1998; 2003; 2012), which discuss the software while technological educative instrument.
