Abstract

COTONHOTO, Larissy Alves; ROSSETTI, Claudia Broetto  and  MISSAWA, Daniela Dadalto Ambrozine. The importance of play in pedagogical practice. Constr. psicopedag. [online]. 2019, vol.27, n.28, pp. 37-47. ISSN 1415-6954.

Games and plays are gaining space and importance in all approaches to childhood. Thus, the purpose of this review article is to discuss the main theoretical perspectives that address the use of games in school, as well as its importance for the cognitive, social and emotional development of the child from an interactionist approach. We aim to stimulate the teaching profession to reflect and understand the game as a fundamental element of the pedagogical work, especially of students with manifestations of learning difficulties and to demonstrate that the use of play activities can help in the development of several capacities, besides helping in the exploration and understanding about reality, culture, rules and social roles.

Keywords : Game; Play; Childhood; Pedagogical Practice; Learning.
