This project analyzes the emotional aspects that permeate the school adaptation of children aged two to five years old in early childhood education. These aspects basically involve the feelings and reactions that arise when entering school, such as fear, worry and insecurity. Such feelings can affect the child's emotional development and negatively influence relationships in the school environment, if they are not overcome with a good reception. When these issues are under the knowledge of teachers, it becomes easier to understand difficult times and promote a favorable environment to adaptation. Thus, the general objective of this study was to discuss the emotional aspects and propose actions that collaborate with the adaptation of children and families, having as specific objectives: to delimit the concept of school adaptation; point out and discuss the emotions of the family and child during the process; to analyze the nature of mother-child, mother-teacher and teacher-student bonds and their influences on adaptation; analyze the role of the family and the school in this moment and develop reception strategies for children and families. The research was developed through theoretical research, involving authors who work in the area. It is concluded that children can express their difficulty in adapting through crying, resistance, not playing so much and little communication. The family also faces challenges, since, generally, mothers suffer concerns and questions regarding the entry of their child into school. In this context, the teacher stands out as someone with great potential and knowledge to support families and promote constructive and calming games, welcoming children and families.
