In today’s society we are constantly surrounded by a plethora of technologies, which have become an increasingly common part of our lives. From cell phones, tablets and computers to smart TVs and virtual reality devices, these technological tools have become essential for communication, work, entertainment and even the teaching-learning process. However, excessive and inappropriate use of these technologies can lead to technological intoxication, negatively affecting our physical, psychological and social well-being. In light of this scenario, psychopedagogy has emerged as a relevant area of study for understanding, preventing and dealing with the effects of these form of technology exposure. Through a reflective theoretical study based on a critical reading of national and international references, three topics were identified: technological intoxication and psycho-pedagogy, psycho-pedagogy in the age of artificial intelligence and the impact of technological addiction on learning. The role of psychopedagogy in today’s age of information and communication technologies and artificial intelligence is extremely relevant, since the discipline seeks to understand and intervene in the learning process.
