Abstract

Since last century decade of the 60's, when the first courses intended exclusively for the training of psychologists were created, the teaching of psychological examination techniques have always had their peculiar characteristics defined by the teams in charge of ministering them. This work is an attempt to rescue some of these characteristics, especially those which marked the first years of the theoretical-practical teaching in PUC- SP and in the IPUSP, and of how these Universities progressed and were responsible for the graduation of the professors in psychological evaluation, ministering the courses created in the São Paulo region. The great tasks which were demanded from the students are also discussed, in comparison with the ones that are demanded from them nowadays; and also of the unlimited trust in the evaluation of instruments used in the past in regards to the questioning and skepticism as to the validity and psychological evaluation at present, whichever the angle of approach.
