Abstract

GRUNSPUN, Suzana. Constructions and “diggings”: what are the possibilities?. Bol. - Acad. Paul. Psicol. [online]. 2008, vol.28, n.2, pp. 256-266. ISSN 1415-711X.

The author, through a theoretic-clinical focus, presents a reflection on the theme “Constructions in Analysis” instituted by Freud in 1937. With this purpose, she utilizes the term “digging”, symbolically understood as an extraction of the natural richnesses for the utilization of mineral substances. She tries to articulate these concepts through Bion’s ideas. She suggests that this knowledge emerges from the apprehension of the material, during the session, improving the comprehension of the psychoanalytic process and catalyzing it toward the patient’s psychic development. Two illustrative cases are presented.

Keywords : Constructions; Model; Digging.
