Abstract

TRINCA, Walter. The inner self in a model of unification of psychic disturbances. Bol. - Acad. Paul. Psicol. [online]. 2010, vol.30, n.1, pp. 128-135. ISSN 1415-711X.

The Inner being is a phenomenological notion introduced into psychoanalysis to express the primary reality related to the essential being of each person. It distinguishes itself from the self, that is the globalizing organization form which presents itself as a field of forces in a state of conflict. The contact of the person with her own being constitutes a primordial function. Major or minor contact determines the degree of sanity as well as the one of psychic disturbance. The distancing of contact responds for the frailty and the use of sensoriality which are installed in the self under the form of determining mental systems. Within psychic disturbances the patient tends to "choose" between frailty and sensoriality under contact distancing occurrence. As the distancing degrees remain equal, either in one or the other modality of "choice", it is possible to organize the psychic disturbances in accordance with the continuous of contact axis. In this one, the determining mental systems are classified by degrees being so that different psychic disturbances correspond to different degrees of the continuous. From here one may elaborate a unified scale of psychic disturbances resulting from the self frailty and from sensoriality. Apart from that, the continuous of contact axis allows for the understanding of processes in the opening to the emotional experience in which contact with the inner being widens up in degrees, determining different ways of consciousness expansion.
