This article was presented by the author at the Solemn Session of the São Paulo Academy of Psychology for the greeting to Mary Julia Kovács on September 18, 2013, during her tenure at Chair 24. It is about her training in Psychology at PUCSP, her inclusion in studies and professional practices related to people with disabilities, her entry into the Post-Graduate Program at IPUSP, her interest in studies about the Psychology of Death. Most of her production is in this area and contribution to hospitalized patients , their families and professionals of Health. It describes the impact we all have on the subject of death and how various authors have addressed this issue, both from the social and the psychological point of view. Some human productions are recalled, that demonstrate how we have to face with the question of death in an attempt to overcome it , or represent it artistically in daily life. The idea presented is that death is not just about the end of life, but as some authors and even Julia, indicate the process of micro deaths in everyday experience.
