Abstract

The article discusses some preliminary ideas about perception of light and insight, which outline a theory about perception, visual communication and its subjective processes. It is presented as a kind of essay which concepts are derived from classroom practice, mobilized by a desire to identify factors useful to improve communication teaching. The starting point of the study is light as a significant physical factor that contributes to the capture of information in our exchange with the environment, which can generate not only new perceptions but awaken creativity. The effects of light influence the brain and stimulate perceptions of old memories which mental connections may favor creative interpretations, that is, content with new meanings in an original, non-existent configuration. The everyday of teaching in Communication leads us to questions about the frontiers of our exchange with the world, with the other, with which we value and are surprised. Communication that is a collective experience, highlights the human relationship and allows us to see how important the human encounter is, and its greater capacity to create
