This research aimed to investigate the social representation of the elderly and aging in psychology students of a University in Alto Tietê. Specific objectives were defined: 1) raise the quality of life of students; 2) identify the social representations about the elderly by the students; 3) compare whether there are differences in student representations according to the year they are attending; 4) identify expectations in working with elderly patients. This is a descriptive empirical study that was conducted with 50 psychology students from a private University in Alto Tietê, comprising: interviews (open and closed questions) on the subject, WHOQOL-BREF quality of life questionnaire (QOL), and thematic drawing-story (DS). The data collected were quantitative and qualitatively handled. The results present students, mostly between 21 and 30 years old, female, with a self-reported level of satisfactory QOL, with living grandparents, who consider, until 2025, the predominance of an elderly population. As for the projective analysis of the DS, there was a congruence between "drawing and story" and "title and story", which did not occur between "drawing and title". Regarding the category analysis in the scene, there is "person" who makes use of "cane" and "furniture". It is argued that this is a representation of the elderly as a reflection of a changing society, that is, an elderly seen as younger and socially active. It is concluded that the suggestion of new research on HF and the elderly, as there is a gap in this thematic area.
