The interviews were recorded, transcribed and examined by the content analysis procedure. The results of the interviews pointed out as difficulties in family reintegration, the family's lack of response to professional intervention, the inefficiency of the safety net and the omission of the Public Power. It discusses the importance of integrating the institution, the protection network, the support network with the participation of the community, especially the families of children and adolescents welcomed and taken in. The data show the need to implement public policies that promote socioeconomic and psychological support to families. In this context, Community Social Psychology can contribute to this process, favoring reintegration with effective family and community coexistence, making it possible to reduce the number of institutional shelters and hospitalizations.
