Abstract

The aim of this paper is to examine some clinical observations concerning the emergence of reading and writing in an autistic child. Reports of the psychoanalitical treatment and of the speech therapy are presented. Some questions about the course of treatment and the possibilities of subjective constitution in such cases are discussed. Finally, it explores the issue of interdisciplinary intervention and discusses some principles which guided the relation between the different clinical fields.
