This paper expands issues developed in our doctoral research, included on the subject psychoanalysis and education. Our starting point is the documentary movie Pro dia nascer feliz, by João Jardim, about education of young Brazilian citizens and their perspectives for the future. We took some elements of the film in order to propose that unconscious desire makes possible to these youth a commitment with tomorrow, as well as standing up against anguish and abandonment, both aroused by contemporary uncertainties. In this context, first education is questioned and the issue of parenthood is fundamental to consider the exogamy that adolescence traversing requires to accomplish.
