Abstract

FLANZER, Sandra Niskier. Entering adolescence. Estilos clin. [online]. 2009, vol.14, n.27, pp. 124-133. ISSN 1415-7128.

This paper addresses clinical aspects of the transition from childhood to adolescence. In the light of key concepts from Freud and Lacan, it examines evidence of culture occasioning the difficulty subjects find today on taking their place at adult setting, what leaves them tied to the childhood model. It also describes the enduring ideal position that parents occupy for the subject who refuses to position itself with regard to its symbolic debt. It discusses, as well, the psychoanalyst's role in this unsettling passage from childhood to adult life.

Keywords : adolescence; psychoanalysis; subject; clinic.
