Abstract

BIALER, Marina. Mirrors in autism: pillars of the construction of an imaginary padding. Estilos clin. [online]. 2014, vol.19, n.2, pp. 294-308. ISSN 1415-7128.  http://dx.doi.org/10.11606/issn.1981-1624.v19i2p294-308.

This paper discusses the role of mirrors as foundations for the creation of an imaginary padding in autism. Through the literature written by Tito Mukhopadhyay, we show the psychic function of the mirror as a foundation of a transfer to another imaginary non-human, demonstrating the feasibility of the invention of an imaginary padding in autism that can be the support to build the ego and the self-image.

Keywords : psychoanalysis; autism; jouissance; imaginary; mirror.
