Abstract

COSTA, André Oliveira. The times of the transmission according to the logic of Lacan. Estilos clin. [online]. 2014, vol.19, n.3, pp. 499-514. ISSN 1415-7128.  http://dx.doi.org/10.11606/issn.1981-1624.v19i3p499-514.

This article presents the cultural transmission process through the three logical times according to the psychoanalyst Jacques Lacan. The transmission is considered an effect of the mobius torsion on the relationship between subject and culture. The style marks a mode of transmission and production of the subject that depends on the cut of the drive object, and the transmission occurs in time of desubjectivation when the I becomes impersonal. This is supported by the analysis of the short story "The Purloined Letter" by Edgar Allan Poe, in the light of the three logical times according to Lacan.

Keywords : transmission; style; logical time; culture.
