This study presents a summary of a qualitative clinical research and aimed to investigate the implications of the condition and the baby's hospitalization at birth. It presents a discussion about the baby in the prospects of development and psychoanalysis and sets out a review of the literature concerning the possible repercussions of the disease and hospitalization of infants from the perspective of psychoanalysis. Then bring some fragments of interviews with families who experienced neonatal hospitalization and then discuss contributions to the subject based on the clinical method and psychoanalytic ethics.
