Abstract

ALMEIDA, Maíra Lopes  and  NEVES, Anamaria Silva. The clinical possibility of rhythm: a trajectory with an autistic child. Estilos clin. [online]. 2017, vol.22, n.3, pp. 442-454. ISSN 1415-7128.  http://dx.doi.org/10.11606/issn.1981-1624.v22i3p1-13.

This work presents as a goal to present rhythm as a possible element in clinical care for autistic children. It is proposed to analyze it as a fundamental condition by which the subjective construction permeates and, therefore, constitutes an indispensable aspect in clinical work. As a methodological strategy, we reported a trajectory of care for Lucas, a three-year-old boy diagnosed as autistic, and his family. From the reflections generated by the case, it is discussed the specificities of the clinic with autistic children and the alternatives that the rhythm, as the primordial aspect of the subject, brings to the analyst.

Keywords : Rhythm; autism; psychoanalysis; clinic; childhood.
