The aim of this article is at discussing the current scenario of childhood from the reconfiguration of the family, in two main aspects: the female single parenting and the diminished role played by the father. This is a qualitative theoretical research, whose purpose is to reflect on the available place for the process of child subjectivation to occur contemporaneously.
