Abstract

SOUZA, Ana Paula Ramos de et al. Language, cognition and psychism: analysis of the playing of two babies with history of psychic suffering. Estilos clin. [online]. 2019, vol.24, n.1, pp. 84-97. ISSN 1415-7128.  http://dx.doi.org/10.11606/issn.1981-1624.v24i1p84-97.

This paper aims to analyze the linguistic and cognitive evolution of two babies in psychic suffering, one of them at risk for autism and the other one with non-autistic structuring, and compares two instruments of identification of psychic risk, the Clinical Indicators of Risk/Reference to Child Development (IRDI) and the Modified Checklist for Autism in Toddlers (M-CHAT). The analysis of playing showed a delay in language and cognitive in both cases, being this delay more important in the case of risk for autism. IRDI managed to better differentiate the direction of psychic structuring than M-CHAT.

Keywords : psychoanalysis; psychic risk; autism; child development; children's language.
