Abstract

SAMPAIO, Marisa Amorim  and  CAMAROTTI, Maria do Carmo. Reflections on primitive phenomena in the analytical field: construction of a clinic with parents and babies. Estilos clin. [online]. 2020, vol.25, n.3, pp. 488-500. ISSN 1415-7128.  http://dx.doi.org/10.11606/issn.1981-1624.v25i3p488-500.

The article develops reflections on primitive phenomena experienced in the analytical field, with vignettes from analysis and infant observations. The analytical field is complex, especially in parents-infant therapies, when working simultaneously with the inner worlds of mother, father, baby, and the analyst. How to conceptualize and make use of primitive phenomena arising from the parent-baby intersubjective interaction in this clinic? The paper presents reflections based on Bion's contributions on projective identification and from other authors about enactment. Recognizing that the corporeal, primitive experiences are projected in the analytic context, even if not organized as symbolic experiences, we admit that they have the potential to enable the construction of thinking between the triad parents-baby-analyst.

Keywords : psychoanalytic clinic; parents-infant relations; intersubjectivity; projective identification.
