Abstract

It was searched the possibility of description of contingencies in which a task is executed, identifying the preceding stimulus, the answer and the consequent stimulus. Joined 34 students of Psychology, 36 of Nutrition, enrolled in the first year. The task was building sentences selecting respectively one of the components of the sentences: pronoun, tense duly conjugated from the choice of pronoun and complement The procedure consisted in showing initially 12 verbs without differential reinforcement - base line and 60 verbs under reinforcement. There were formed 8 experiment groups. To groups P and N, the procedure was use addition (group P) or subtraction (group N) of points against its maintenance (extinction) as consequence. To groups PP and NN, it was used bigger addiction against smaller addiction (group PP) or bigger subtraction against smaller (group NN) of points. The subjects of group P and PP began their session with the score-scoring zero. To the subjects from groups N and NN, the score was scoring initially 600 points. After the building of the 72 sentences, the subjects described their opinions and feelings regarding the activity. The participants of condition P and PP were the ones who reported curiosity regarding the task, presented better performance and could describe properly or partially proper the action taken during the execution of the task in both courses. In the sample students was not possible identify differences regarding the execution of tasks
