Abstract

Grief is characterized as loss of a link between a person and his object, so a mental phenomenon in natural and constant process of human development. This article discusses the concept of grief from the perspective of psychoanalysis Sigmund Freud and Melanie Klein, in order to observe possible similarities and differences compared to the concepts presented by the authors.
