Abstract

The present work if it proposes to identify the children's emotional and physical reactions from 1 to 5 years. The population objective consisted of 56 children interned at Oliveira's Hospital Pediatric Monsignor Pedro Rocha, in Crato, Ceará. The data were obtained starting from a form especially built for the research and of the observation. The results demonstrated that the children's group that they had companions during the hospitalization presented smaller frequency of physical reactions, such as: cry, vomits, diarrhea, palpitation, lack of appetite, insomnia, enuresis night, and emotional such as: indifference, fear, apathy, aggressiveness and irritability, that the children's group, without companions, during the internment. The children's companions were shown cooperative with the team of health. We concluded that she should demand from the public political rulers that they privilege the child, especially in what he concerns the right of staying with a relative when in situation of internment hospitalar.
