This essay aims to question the experience of an intervention in the professional period of training in Psychology at Hospital da Criança Conceição, a public Children’s Hospital in Rio Grande do Sul. It also intends to reflect about the psychological work and its implications considering its practice in the context of a cut from the clinical attending of a patient with psychosomatic manifestation of a symptom. Playing-hour sessions were used as a mechanism of the patient’s symbolization and expression. The main theoretical reference is based on the psychoanalytical theory.
