Abstract

The present study is to evaluate quality of life of patients with Acute Myocardial Infarction (AMI) and to identify differences reported about quality of life self perception. The participants of this cross-sectional study are 153 patients previously evaluated in a research namely Effectiveness in a Transdisciplinary Outpatient Follow-up after AMI. Quality of life was assessed through SF-36.The mean values found in the intervention-group concerning the domains overall health status, functional capacity, physical limitation, vitality and emotional aspects of were slightly higher. Higher scores were found in the control group regarding the domains pain, social aspects and mental health. The results obtained in this study showed to be not satisfactory yet, due to the limited number of patients included.
