Abstract

This exploratory-descriptive study aimed to evaluate, through the Inventário de Sintomas de Stress para Adultos (ISSL) stressors between fifteen chronically ill during hospitalization in particular Hospital, Porto Alegre / RS. In relation to the disease, 40% were chronic renal failure undergoing dialysis treatment, 33% and 27% total laryngectomy patients with hematological diseases. Of the total, 73.3% showed symptoms of stress, and the hemodialysis scored 83.3%, 75% of hematological and the laryngectomized 60%. With regard to sex, the greater percentage of male patients (55.6%) and 33% female, with the phase of resistance is predominant among them.
