The article presents the context of psychological interventions in intensive care unit (ICU) and Intermediate Unit (IU) of neonatal Bonsucesso General Hospital, Ministry of Health reference for treatment of high risk pregnant women and newborn infants. It is intended to expose the routine psychological constructed in these sectors, which included a humanized care. To this end we will tackle the challenges of a service of neonatology, as well as questions related to hospitalization of newborns at risk. From a psychoanalytic approach, we analyze the parent-child relationship, the primary relationships and bonding, with the aim of our practices in early intervention.
