The theme of this article started from the unrest and the curiosity of the author, on hearing the speech of patients in the hospital. Gradually this concern outlined that it was not any one speech, but that it was the presence of spirituality and religion in that both produced by patients, as the institution of public health in which the author was. Through a historical and psychoanalytic reflection on the production of human speech there was a discussion about the condition of psychologist-patient relationship in hospital context - questioning the possibilities of doing psi.
